Omar is passionate about building and operating innovative companies from the ground up. After beginning his career in law at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich Rosati, Omar pivoted into operational roles with a number of early stage startups. He founded and served as the CEO of Sportaneous, which was acquired after winning multiple awards from the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s BigApps Competition in 2010. He then served as the Chief Revenue Officer at Greatist, the fastest growing health and wellness media company, helping expand its base to more than 10 million unique visitors per month. Omar also served as Managing Partner of Oxford Digital, a boutique innovation agency that helps corporate clients launch new products. Omar received his J.D. and M.B.A from Columbia University, where he received the William J. Heffernan Memorial Award for Service. He has also been honored by the White House as a Champion of Change.
